Kathe Bryant was recently named Employee of the Quarter at Covington County Hospital. Bryant grew up in an Airforce family and lived in England, North Carolina, Utah, Alabama, and Biloxi before settling down in Collins. During her 28 years working at Covington County Hospital, Bryant has worked in med-surg, behavioral health, the Emergency Room and now serves as Director of Quality.
“It’s important to be willing to do your best wherever you are working,” said Bryant. “Take the initiative, and figure out ways we can do something – not reasons why we can’t.”
In her current role, Bryant is key to planning the hospital’s infection prevention, emergency planning, safety, employee health and quality. Most recently, she has been in charge of leading the hospital’s response to Covid-19.
Outside of her duties at CCH, Kathe loves reading, cooking, art, flowers, and music. Her favorite hobby is raising chickens for brown eggs, which she engraves.
Kathe said her favorite thing about working at CCH is that there are so many different opportunities to serve.
In ten years, Kathe sees herself happily retired, travelling with her husband and following her grandson around to his baseball tournaments.
