  • Covington County Hospital’s Respiratory Therapy department is committed to optimizing patients’ breathing functions. We provide treatments for respiratory conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, COVID-19, and COPD. Our approach to respiratory health is comprehensive and we emphasize providing the best possible care to our patients.

Our Respiratory Therapy services are available for both inpatient and outpatient settings. The services are scheduled based on physician orders. To streamline the process, patients with respiratory therapy referrals can request their family doctor, specialist, or pediatrician to send the respiratory therapy order to the outpatient department of Covington County Hospital. This helps minimize travel and wait times for the patients.

Our team of 10 certified therapists, led by Director Konnie Craft, RRT, hold essential certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and BLS. We use state-of-the-art equipment and testing such as ABG (Arterial Blood Gas), BiPAP (Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure), breathing treatments, EKG (Electrocardiogram), HFOT (High Flow Oxygen Therapy), Holter Monitors, and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to ensure comprehensive and effective respiratory care for our patients.
