The New Pictorial Map of London by Geographia. New Waterloo Bridge c1942[The New Pictorial Map of London] This map is commonly dated to the 1930s, however in this edition a note states "This is Waterloo Bridge the New One". Work commenced on the new bridge in 1937 and it was opened to traffic in 1942. Earlier editions of this map show the bridge with a breach and works ongoing. We think this edition is likely a wartime publication, probably published upon or close to the opening of the new bridge to traffic in 1942.

Although we have queen-sized beds, we typically use standard-sized pillows. One of the quilt sets I got this Christmas time came with queen sized pillow shams, and the standard pillows just didn't fill them properly. I could have sewn flanges on either side of the shams, but I decided to order these pillows instead. The are almost wide enough to fully fill those shams that started all this additional purchasing. (I also ended up ordering pillow protectors for the queen sized pillows.) The pillows are fluffy and substantial for now. My husband manages to flatten out pillows almost no matter how they start our. For now, so far so good. They re a medium-weight and fullness, I would say. They do a good job of showing off the pillow sham design, so that's a plus. I'm not planning for us to sleep on them, but they are added back support while watching TV. They are primarily for decorative purposes when the bed is made with the quilt and shams. They were a reasonable value for the intended purpose.
