Tammy Matlock, LMSW, is a social worker for Brightside Senior Behavioral Services Intensive Outpatient Program of Covington County Hospital. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi social work program. Her previous experience includes working with patients with addiction. She worked at the Ryan White Program of the Southeast MS Rural Health Initiative for three years, an HIV care and treatment program.
She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and the Mississippi Conference of Social Welfare. At USM, she was a scholarship winner from the MS Conference of Social Welfare and USM Social Work Student of the Year in 2018 and 2019.
She is originally from Iowa and currently lives in Hattiesburg. She enjoys choral music and sings with the Meistersingers and First Baptist Church in Collins. She is also a member of Mensa International.
