EMT-Basic-PRN - Ambulance

Responsible for driving the ambulance and assisting the Paramedic in providing basic life support functions. Experience preferred.  The EMT provides basic life support to patients and assists Emergency personnel after reaching the hospital.  MS State certification as EMT with EMS training equal to or exceeding national registry standards as required.  Valid MS emergency drivers license and age as required by the insurance carrier. Laboratory Director - Full Time

Must be skilled in the disciplines of hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, serology, and blood bank in order to obtain report data for use in the diagnosis treatment of diseases in an accurate, precise, timely and responsible manner.  Must be proficient in collecting and processing specimens for laboratory analysis.  Must be knowledgeable in all areas of maintenance and quality control for laboratory instrumentation and procedures.  Is responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of supplies and for using those supplies prudently  Responsible for scheduling lab personnel and maintaining records in the laboratory as well as general oversight of and direction of lab personnel.

B.S. degree in Medical Technology required.  Must be Certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.  Minimum of 5 years working experience.  Supervisory experience preferred.  Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pharmacist - PRN

The pharmacist checks and verifies physician’s drug orders and nurses requests for medications. She/he supervises the work of pharmacy assistants and /or pharmacy students where applicable. The pharmacist is responsible for the medication safety of the patients, and the general safety of the personnel in the pharmacy department. Their work involves the control of expensive medications, supplies and equipment. Reasonable care is expected in the use and maintenance of all elements. The pharmacist has a diversified job, which requires alertness as well as the ability to handle a  heavy volume of work.   Attention  to  detail over extended  periods of time is often required. Must hold current license with the State Board of Pharmacy.  Hospital Experience preferred.

Pharmacy Technician - PRN

Works with pharmacist filling medication cubicles and transports them to/from the nurse’s station.  Assist nursing in preparing stop order notices.  Fills orders for floor stock medications for pharmacist approval.  Assist in preparation of I.V. admixtures under supervision of pharmacist.  Assist with inventory control, takes stock count for reorders and checks stock for expiration dates.  Must work well with other departmental and hospital employees.  Performs other duties as assigned.  Must maintain high level of confidentiality.  Must be currently certified as Pharmacy Technician.

Respiratory Therapist - PRN

The respiratory Therapist performs the standard procedures for Respiratory Therapy in administering medical gases to provide mechanical aids to ventilation.  Responsible for proper handling of departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best care possible for respiratory therapy needs of our patients.    Must be familiar with the various types of oxygen therapy, equipment, oxygen tents, suction machines, croup tents, EKG machine, etc.  Must hold current registration with the MS State Board of Licensure as a Respiratory Therapy Practitioner (RRT or CRTT).  Must hold current certification in CPR and ACLS.

Staff Accountant -Full Time

Staff Accountant assists in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded.  Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to general ledger.  Compiles financial data to assist in preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.  Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to predict future revenues and expenses.  Provides assigned oversight to make certain that all payroll tax forms and withhold reports are correct and filed to the required authorities on time.  Reconciles bank accounts, accounts payable inventory and payroll as assigned as well as data from various databases, reports, ledgers and spreadsheets.  Ensures that assigned transactions are properly documented.  Reconciles financial discrepancies as they arise after checking out root causes for same.  Performs other duties as assigned.  Must maintain total confidentiality.

BS with required accounting courses required.  One year experience preferred.
