Complaint Process

Covington County Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital accredited and certified by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), a global, independent foundation whose purpose is to support the development and continual improvement of healthcare quality and patient safety. The accreditation provides insight and understanding of what is working effectively and what can be improved and assures that Covington County Hospital is working according to established regulatory requirements and best practices.

Concerns about your care: 
Please contact the Complaints and Grievances office at 601-698-0123 to report a concern about care provided by CCH or its clinics.  Medicare Patients can report any concerns they have to the QIO at: KEPRO (1-800-317-0751). The QIO is the independent reviewer authorized by Medicare to review the decision to discharge you from the hospital.  More information about how to appeal your hospital discharge is provided to all Medicare patients who are admitted to the hospital. 

The Mississippi State Department of Health also takes complaints and can be reached weekdays, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.at:  1-800-227-7308
