Ben Stevens, MD
South Central Regional Medical Clinic
Covington County Hospital Outpatient Specialty Clinic
Ben Stevens, MD, is an Otolaryngologist and provides customized care for all conditions related to ear, nose, and throat (ENT) as well as areas related to head and neck.
He has extensive training in a specialized surgical sleep apnea treatment meant for patients who are unable to tolerate CPAP, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure device. A CPAP is designed to use compressed air to hold open the patient’s airway which would otherwise collapse during sleep and block the flow of oxygen to the patient’s brain. This surgical solution replaces the need for a CPAP with a surgically implanted Inspire® Sleep Apnea device.
Dr. Stevens sees patients at the Laurel Ear, Nose, & Throat Surgical Clinic working alongside his father, Carl W. “Rusty” Stevens, II, MD
He is a Laurel native who returned to his hometown to practice Otolaryngology after obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science from Mississippi State University, a medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and completing a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at UMMC.
