Jeff Mitchell, FNP, is a nurse practitioner in the Emergency Department of Covington County Hospital in Collins, Mississippi. As an emergency department family nurse practitioner, Jeff performs various tasks to provide patient care, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications.
He began working at Covington County Hospital in 2012. He graduated from William Carey University and received his Bachelor of Nursing Degree (BSN). He obtained his Master of Science in Nursing (MSN-FNP) from The Mississippi University for Women. He served for six years in the Air Force-Air National Guard in air evacuation as a flight nurse.
He grew up in the Jackson area and has lived in Sumrall for the past 29 years. He is married to his wife, Missy, and is proud of his three children and four grandchildren. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, family time, attending church, and watching grandchildren play baseball.
