Resident Services

Arrington Living Center provides a range of medical services, including skilled nursing, occupational therapy, medication management, speech therapy, person-centered care, and physical therapy. We provide comprehensive and specialized rehabilitation services to meet the diverse needs of our residents. Our offerings include Neuro/Stroke Rehabilitation, Orthopedic Rehabilitation, and specialized care for individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. We address specific conditions such as incontinence through therapy and training, offer targeted interventions for Parkinson’s and Dysphagia/Swallowing issues, and provide essential Fall Prevention and Safety Training. Our therapists are trained in Energy Conservation, offering support for individuals with COPD/CHF. We also provide Traumatic Brain Injury Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, and Balance Training, ensuring a holistic approach to rehabilitation and enhancing the overall well-being of our residents.

Arrington Living Center offers a wide range of amenities to enhance residents’ comfort and well-being. These include various living areas, a dining room with room service availability, an activity area, movies for residents, a salon and barber shop, bathrooms equipped with safety rails, a physical therapy room, resident laundry services, a courtyard and porch, cable, and high-speed internet with Wi-Fi. Room features encompass electric adjustable beds, a comfortable sitting chair, cable, internet with Wi-Fi, abundant natural lighting, daily cleaning and sanitation, wheelchair and walker accessibility, handrails in bathrooms, and residential telephone.

Residents can benefit from assistance with activities of daily living, educational programs, family outreach and counseling, resident counseling, and a variety of social activities. Christie Walters, Administrator, is a dedicated and experienced Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator with a passion for providing exceptional care and fostering a supportive environment for residents, families, and staff. With over 10 years of leadership in long-term care and post-acute rehabilitation, she is committed to ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and operational excellence. A graduate of Mississippi State University, Christie is licensed by the MS Board of Nursing Home Administrators and specializes in enhancing resident-centered care, regulatory compliance, and team development. Under her leadership, ALC continues to excel in clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and innovative care solutions. She works closely with healthcare professionals, families, and the community to create a warm, welcoming, and high-quality living environment for all residents.

Shatia Jones, Assistant Administrator, Licensed Master Social Worker, brings a strong commitment to excellence in resident care, operational efficiency, and team leadership. With a background in healthcare administration and social work, and nine years of experience in long-term care, she plays a vital role in ensuring that daily operations run smoothly while upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance. With a degree in social work from the University of Southern Mississippi and a National Healthcareer Association (NHA) license, Shatia is passionate about supporting residents, families, and staff.

Charlotte Magee, Director of Nursing – With 10 years of experience in skilled nursing and long-term care and 25 years of total nursing experience, Charlotte is committed to delivering high-quality patient care, fostering clinical excellence, and supporting a strong team of nursing professionals. As a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in med-surge, outpatient services, surgery, labor & delivery, and emergency department services, Charlotte oversees all aspects of nursing operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a culture of compassion and continuous improvement. Passionate about patient-centered care and staff development, she strives to create a positive and supportive environment for both residents and team members.

Patricia Young, Activities Director,is a passionate and creative Activities Director at Arrington Living Center, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents through engaging and meaningful programs. With over 40 years of experience in senior care and recreational therapy, she designs and leads a variety of activities that promote social interaction, physical well-being, and mental stimulation. Committed to creating a vibrant and inclusive environment, Patricia tailors activities to residents’ interests and abilities, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to participate and enjoy fulfilling experiences. From music and art therapy to fitness and community outings, she strives to bring joy and connection to every resident.
