CCH Clinics
Covington County Hospital opened Family Care Express, located in Collins, Mississippi, in the Taylor Place Shopping Center, on September 1, 2011. The clinic was designed with efficiency in mind in the interest of providing convenient medical care with extended weekday and weekend hours.
Dr. Harpreet Sood and nurse practitioners Laura Davis and Shelby Dickerson are committed to providing convenient care for your general health needs. Walk-in service is available seven days a week or appointments may be made for primary care, preventative medicine, annual exams, wellness visits, and standard vaccinations and immunizations.
Our providers offer a wide range of routine and preventive healthcare services, such as annual physicals, DOT physicals, laboratory testing, such as blood tests and urine tests, vaccinations, screening and treatment for conditions like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or diabetes, care for minor symptoms, such as sore throat, cough, or nasal congestion, treatment for common illnesses like colds, the flu, or urinary tract infections (UTIs) and treatments of injuries such as minor cuts or burns.
Children under the age of 21 who are eligible for Medicaid benefits can receive free health checkups from Laura Davis, FNP, at Family Care Express as part of the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment Program (EPSDT). Children entering a Mississippi school for the first time are required to have had the following vaccinations: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (DTap), Polio (IPV), Hepatitis B, Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR), and Chickenpox (Varicella). If your child is entering the seventh grade, either by advancing or transferring in, a pertussis (Tdap) booster is now required if they have not received a Tdap vaccination since the age of seven.
