Kimberly Bennett, LCSW, CDP, is a Licensed Certified Social Worker for Covington Place Therapy & Counseling and the Program Director for Brightside Senior Behavioral Services Intensive Outpatient Program of Covington County Hospital.
She works with patients six years of age and up at Covington Place who struggle to navigate life’s challenges with mental health and substance use issues. Patients gain increased clarity and personal growth and learn new techniques to challenge negative thoughts in the integrated treatment program.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Dementia Practitioner, she manages the Brightside IOP as a program to address the behavioral health needs of geriatric psychiatric patients 55 years and older.
She received her Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Southern Mississippi.
She is married to Christopher Bennett, who is retired from the US Army and is the maintenance director at Bedford Alzheimer’s Care Center. They have two daughters: Kassi, a cosmetologist, and Kelli, who is stationed in Hawaii and serving in the Air Force.
