Arrington Living Center Installs New Generator

Covington County Hospital is proud to announce its approval for a critical infrastructure project funded through a FEMA/MEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program—an initiative designed to strengthen community resilience in the face of natural disasters. Through this grant funding, the hospital was able to purchase and install a 500-kW natural-gas fixed generator, ensuring uninterrupted power during emergencies and prolonged outages.

The generator is currently being installed at Arrington Living Center, where it will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, comfort, and continuity of care for residents during times of crisis. This investment highlights the hospital’s continued commitment to emergency preparedness and to protecting the well-being of the community it serves.

Bill Rogers, Assistant Grant Leader with Covington County Hospital, extends his sincere appreciation to Brennon Chancellor, Director of Covington County Emergency Management, for his valuable guidance and support throughout the grant process. Partnerships like these are instrumental in bringing meaningful improvements to the community and ensuring readiness when it matters most.
