Smith County Emergency Hospital night-shift registered nurses Dustin Addy and Sylvia McKinley, and nurse practitioner Jason Carr, were presented with a Mississippi Trauma RN Pin on Thursday, July 17, in recognition of outstanding service in providing trauma care.
Victoria Hickerson, Senior Trauma Education Coordinator with the Mississippi Hospital Association, made the presentation during a ceremony Tuesday night with members of hospital administrative staff and departmental directors.
“ER nurses are the frontline defenders in medicine,” said Hickerson. “I am honored to recognize and celebrate these emergency nurse heroes by presenting them with the MS Trauma RN Pin—a small token of our deep respect and gratitude.”
